Is my data secure?

At myDNA, we believe strongly in privacy, data security, and genetic rights. Your data is your property and will not be shared with anyone else without your consent. As part of your consent you may nominate your healthcare professional to receive your information. All data, including your DNA results and personal information, is stored securely. We only use information for two purposes: to provide our services, and to analyse/improve our services.

myDNA may share de-identified aggregated information about use of the services for myDNA’s analysis and research (which may be published) into the use of the genetic services.

myDNA will never disclose or share your data with third parties like insurance companies. Your information won’t have any bearing on insurance policies or premiums and cannot be used to identify you in any way. The Australian Federal Government has banned life Insurers and companies offering income protection from using genetic testing to refuse cover or increase premiums.
